When it comes to SIU v. Creighton, nothing else matters.
Forget the records. Forget the disappointing seasons for both squads. When the Salukis and Bluejays hit the court against one another only one thing is guaranteed.
Pain.
Tonight one of the greatest rivalries in the Missouri Valley Conference -- Nay, the entire Midwest continues, as the Salukis are looking to get back on the right foot against what some Dawg Pounders would call the "swallowers" from Omaha, Nebraska.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
But what there is something wrong about is accepting a loss to Creighton. Picked to finish second in MVC, the Bluejays have limped to a 7-9 record, with a 2-3 record in conference. Despite the fact SIU has struggled in recent times in Omaha, the Salukis will find it next to impossible to reverse the downward spiral of the last 11 days.
So what can Saluki fans do? Put on your Maroon, get on your "I H8 Cr8N" and "I Still H8 CR8N" shirts, and tune into FSN Midwest at 8:07 and watch the Salukis "Hopefully" redeem last year's "Valentine's Day Massacre."
